The Brief
Part of the short film collaboration between S4C, the Urdd Eisteddfod and Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, this commission gave emerging Welsh-language writers an opportunity to create bold, personal drama for screen.
Approach
Writer Delyth Evans used the metaphor of glass to explore the invisible barriers women encounter in everyday life. Tinint produced the film with a focus on visual storytelling, letting the central metaphor carry the weight of the narrative.
Outcome
Gwydr was shortlisted for the Drama Medal at the 2021 Urdd Eisteddfod, recognising the script's power and the quality of production. It added to a strong slate of short films that demonstrated the depth of emerging Welsh-language drama talent.
